When I was in high school
When I was in high school, I used to wake up early every morning. My alarm rang loudly, and I often pressed the snooze button to take a few extra minutes of sleep. Then, I got out of bed quickly and started my morning routine. I always thought about my day ahead while brushing my teeth and dressing up. My school was nearby, but I took the bus every day because I loved to meet new people.
My favourite subject was Math. I enjoyed solving problems, and I was fascinated by formulas. Mrs. Green, my math teacher, always praised me for my work. However, I struggled to learn English. I found it difficult to study grammar rules, but Mr. Brown, my English teacher, was always keen to help me. He used to give me additional exercises to improve my skills.
I enjoyed talking with my friends during lunchtime. We used to tell jokes and talk about what we liked and didn’t like at school. I often brought sandwiches from home, and sometimes, my mom packed a surprise treat for me. After classes, I used to play the guitar. I started as a beginner and made many mistakes. But with daily practice, I improved my skills. Mrs. Ellis, my music teacher, taught me many chords and melodies. Over time, I could play songs for my family and friends.
Now, when I think about high school, I remember both the challenges and the fun times with my friends. I cherish the memories of the friendships I made and the experiences I had during those years. I am now in the final year of my MSc, and I am looking forward to starting my own company. I’ve always dreamed about becoming my own boss. Until then, I need to concentrate on my study.
