Wimbledon

Wimbledon, the oldest tennis tournament in the world, takes place annually in late June and early July in London. It’s one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments.

The Chelsea Flower Show

This world-famous flower and landscape gardens show is held in Chelsea, London, in May each year. The event is organised by the Royal Horticultural Society and attracts visitors from all over the globe.

Notting Hill Carnival

Held annually in London’s Notting Hill in August, this is Europe’s biggest street carnival, a vibrant and colourful celebration of Caribbean culture, music, and food.

Glastonbury Festival

The Grand National

A famous horse racing event held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool, usually in early April; one of the most challenging and renowned steeplechases in the world.

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe

The world’s largest arts festival takes place in Edinburgh every August, spanning 25 days and featuring more than 50,000 performances of over 3,000 different shows.

The Proms

An eight-week summer season of daily orchestral classical music concerts, predominantly at the Royal Albert Hall in London, generally from mid-July to mid-September.

Guy Fawkes Night (Bonfire Night)

An annual commemoration of the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605 on November 5 across the UK, with fireworks displays and the burning of Guy Fawkes effigies on bonfires.

London Fashion Week

A biannual fashion event in February and September showcasing over 250 designers to a global audience.

The Royal Ascot

Held each June, this major event in the British social calendar features formal and traditional wear, horse racing, socialising, and frequent appearances by members of the Royal Family.
